What You’ll Do

Service Technicians provide service to Appleby’s existing clients in the form of repairs and maintenance of products that have been previously installed by Appleby. They are
dispatched by the Corporate Customer Support Specialist and/or the Branch Construction Manager and are instrumental in maintaining Appleby’s excellent reputation and commitment to the highest standards or quality of service and product.

Specific Duties

  • Provide professional customer service in accordance with Company policies and the manufacturer’s warranty.
  • Assist the Construction Administrator in set-up and tear down of various Builder’s Shows and Kiosk displays.
  • Assist in truck deliveries and inventory control measures outlined by the Company.
  • Retrieve accurate information on service requests requiring factory remakes, etc.
  • Report accurate information on the Company’s “Quality of Installation” policy, in regard to the Installer’s work performed.
  • Duties may vary, depending on situation.
  • Various other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Construction Superintendent.

A Successful Service Technicians Will:

  • Satisfy customers by responding quickly and courteously to the customer’s concerns.
  • Restore Appleby’s installed products to the level of quality and usability customers expect and deserve from them
  • Take ownership of each job and perform all duties with pride and superior craftsmanship
  • Seek to find ways to improve Appleby’s levels of service and quality through creative problem solving and continual process improvement



  • Valid Drivers License required
  • Minimum high school diploma with at least one year of home improvement installation experience
  • Basic mechanical skills and knowledge of home improvement products
  • Provide tools and equipment needed to perform specific duties

Physical Requirements

  • Sit approximately 1 hour
  • Stand/walk approximately 7 hours
  • Regular lifts of 50-70 pounds and occasional team lifts of 140-200 pounds
  • Frequent simple grasping, pushing/pulling and fine manipulation
  • Occasional squatting and crawling
  • Frequent bending, climbing and reaching
  • Use of power tools (including, but not limited to: circular saw, power miter, reciprocating saw)
  • Use of digging tools, demolition procedures and ladders.
