Window replacements in our living and dining rooms
We had contracted Appelby Systems for replacing our French door in our walkout basement. Based on our positive experience, after about a year we decided to continue upgrading our windows. These were double hung windows and as old as the house which was built in 2004. Particularly during the cold months, we perceived uncomfortable air drafts made worse during high winds. Also, some of the windows were binding when opening or closing them. The Appelby windows not only look good but operate with ease. The air drafts are a thing of the past. The installation crew was very professional and efficient. When the windows in the living room were quoted, the sales person made us aware of some cost savings if we opted to replace the unit with four double hung windows with two double hungs instead. These are twice as wide and offer more view due to the increased glass area. We are glad we made the change. Also, we took advantage of the triple for the price of dual pane glass sale which offers a better R-value.
